Product Design represents the core of our work here at The Product Farm. By pairing our distinct backgrounds in graphic design, product design, and manufacturing, we’ve molded our business into something truly special. We put a special twist on the products we design through our photo-realistic 3D concept renderings, created quickly and with high-quality standards. We aim to make our creative work stand out and our clients look great. Each project is a unique synthesis of design, detailing and fabrication. In addition to our ongoing internal collaboration, The Product Farm teams up with a diverse group of collaborating agencies, designers, fabricators and suppliers - specifically tailored for each project.
3D Art & Animation
3D rendered visuals are a great way to add dimension to an idea or design that is still on the drawing board. You have a chance to preview and experience your vision before a major investment is made to produce the reality. We convert your product ideas, logo’s and creative concept into 3D models and apply suitable material textures to get the feel and look you want. Once we’ve built the models in our 3D program, we can easily change out elements, adjust colors and textures to refine your vision.
Laser Cutting & Engraving
We can laser cut plastics, woods, rubbers, foams, papers, and thin metals as long as they do not contain chlorine. Common plastic materials include acrylic, nylon, and polypropylene. We’ve engraved just about every type of wood readily available. Certain woods are great for engraving, while others are better suited for strength. We’ve come to heavily rely on our 24″ x 18″ Full Spectrum 90W CO 2 Laser for a broad spectrum of prototyping development. For larger needs or when there’s a need of cutting metals, we outsource locally.
3D Printing & Prototyping
You may have heard of the “Maker” movement, involving inventors, hackers and tinkerers alike building useful tools (like 3D printers) for fabrication and other methods of creation. Our Elegoo, Dremel and Gigabot 3D printers offer rapid prototyping using a variety of materials and colors. Whether you’re a designer, inventor or just someone with a great idea, 3D printing is a great way to prove your product idea overnight.
Decal/Die-cut Rotary Cutting
Digital die-cutting of self adhesive vinyl and other laser-printable materials can be very useful for signage, product branding and labeling, printed panels or wall decals. You can also use the machinery for cutting masks for painting or other surface post-applications (sand blasting), fold patterns and more. Our reliable Roland cutter picks up where the laser can not perform, such as with vinyl products, that are toxic to cut with laser equipment.
