Dream Dress for Less: Wax Stamp 3D RenderingA displacement map is used to alter the geometry of a 3D model during the rendering process. Two layers of 3D displacement texture maps were used to create the wax seal. The first one creates the sharper indention of logo and font outlines, while the second one creates the unevenness of the remaining surface, making it less perfect and more realistic.

When North Carolina modder and industrial designer Fredrik Perman was tapped to do some design work for the office of Pacific Design & Manufacturing, he figured, what better way to do a remodel than to pack six Intel dual-core processors into a glass case and place it on a wall? This monster works as a render farm hub that also controls the file and phone server in the adjoining room. For effect, Perman added ten 12-inch blue cathode light strips, six LED fans, and a wall-mounted 15-inch LCD screen.Up above is exactly what you’d see if you walked into the lobby of Pacific Design & Manufacturing. Six powerful computers, all consolidated into one wall-mounted case. Along with fellow designer Michael Stabile, PDM took advantage of a move to a new office to spruce up the company’s render-farm used to churn through conceptual designs. Sometimes they have sections for different times of the day. Pill organizers are viewed as a way to prevent or reduce medication errors on the part of the patient. Made of recycled glass (I also designed a double-wall vacuum sealed plastic version as seen below), the selling points, labeling and marketing potentials makes for a good proposal to any beer company.

My client asked me to take some good pictures of the product for a one-pager ad, intended to promote promotional printed products.The below image (with green background) was the first ever picture taken of the Vino2Go. This image is what started my 5-year exciting journey into the adult drink-ware business. This image went viral, along with the original blog post (which has been edited many times since then) and the rest of a series of seasonal images we shared via social media sites, such as Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook.

The Product Farm - Company Launch Introduction KitA promotional Christmas gift package consisting of a folded T-shirt in a meat foam tray. The light bulb is a metaphor used in most The Product Farm marketing material. The T was folded around cardboard stock and heat sealed into the foam meat tray along with business cards and a small brochure. Stickers were added to make it more realistic as meat packaging.

Mollerus Swiss Hand BagsWorked with photographer to add a step & repeat pattern of the Mollerus logo to the colored backdrops of the images. This was done by creating 3D back drops with black & white alpha channel of the pattern to the 3D backdrop object in Autodesk 3DSmax as a texture. The alpha channels were then embedded into the photos in Photoshop and used as a selection mask to darken the existing back drop. This allowed me to match the curvature of the original back drop when adding the pattern.

Marked Private Private Messaging Bracelets for KidsA secure social network for kids and their friends, by invitation only via gift of a special silicone wristband. I developed the original concept system for investor presentation. The company has since then taken off! - (markedprivate.com). I also designed, developed and prototyped the original wristbands. On the web development side, I teamed up with a company in Poland - since creating a social network was a bit beyond my capabilities. I did however design the whole system, both functionally and visually.
